Falling in love!

Projects that are completed...YAY!!!

Table Numbers

Picture
The table numbers were the first project I completed and it was really simle. First Don and I bought wine bottles at an estate sale. I soaked them and cleaned them really well. I had pictures from our engagement session printed on snapfish with a border around them. I then used double sided tape to attach the pictures to the wine bottles. I tried a number of things and the double sided tape seemed to be the best option. Then I ordered sliced corks from etsy (link to the sellers shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/Silhouvette?ref=pr_shop) so that I could just put the printed numbers right into the corks. I was worried that I would hurt myself if I tried to slice the corks. When I printed the numbers I used the double sided tape to attach a number so it was on both sides. I am excited about how they turned out!!

Personalized Hangers

Picture
This picture is a little difficult to see but I kept seeing these hangers all over the place on etsy but I did not want to pay all that money. So I went to Home Depot bought 16 gauge wire, bought wooden hangers at walmart and ribbon at JoAnne's. I went through two and a half rolls of the wire but that was because I did some practicing. I think they turned out really nice and I think my bridesmaids will love them! Well or at least I will get some awesome pictures of their dresses hanging on them lol!!

Wishing Tree

Picture
Found the branch at Marshalls for $14.99, the vase at Joanne's on clearance for $2.99 and I bought the grass stuff at Joanne's as well. Put it all together and I have my wishing tree!! I also ordered the tags from etsy shop packratdiva.

Hair Comb

Picture
Ok so this was a last minute project. I took the leaf, which is actually a pin that was my fiancé’s mothers (she passed away 5-6 years ago) to my hair dresser and when she did my hair I felt that the leaf was lost in my dark curls. So I decided to tackle a hair comb DIY project. I purchased the beads, jewelry wire and the comb at JoAnne’s. I spent around $10-$15 on everything. I also bought Epoxy glue specifically for metal at Home Depot. That was probably the most expensive part lol. Anyways I wrapped the wire around and added the beads as I went along. Then I left enough room at the end to add the leaf with the glue. This is the end project. I like it a lot...but now I have to schedule another hair appointment.....
