Our Proposal

The Garden of Lights!

I had no idea that Don was planning to pop the question! In fact he had the ring for almost 4 months before he worked up the nerve to finally ask me. About a week before the proposal Don told me that I needed to keep my Saturday free because he was planning something for us. I didnt think anything of it because Don is full of surprises and enjoys trying to plan new things for us. That night Don took me out to Olgebay, a local resort that displays Christmas lights during the Holiday Season. We drove through the light show and when we reached the end Don asked if I wanted to walk around the Garden Of Lights with him. It was freezing that night and just as I was asking Don if we could leave he asked me to sit down on a bench next to him. Surrounded by a beautiful garden of lights, Don placed the ring in my hand and asked me to Marry him. I was so surprised, it was the best moment of my life! We are so excited to share our special day with our close family and friends.
